Google Toolbar Button - Search the Jargon

If you haven't already, check it out. We recommend !! Since version 4, the Google toolbar comes with a lot of exciting features such as Enhanced Search Box, Pop-up Blocker, Spellcheck, PageRank Display, Highlight Search Terms, WordTranslator and much, much more, including Custom Buttons!

With Google Toolbar you can add buttons that will let you visit and search your favorite websites and keep up with interesting feeds. There is already a button gallery that offers a selection of ready-made buttons for popular sites, and you can make your own buttons in seconds by right-clicking within the search box on any site and selecting "Generate Custom Search…".

Here at JargonDB, we have created a custom button for your Google toolbar with the following features:

  • Search selected text: while browsing any website, if you find something that you think can be found at JargonDB, just select the text and click the JargonDB button. The browser will promptly point you to the definition of the term. Easy as pie!

  • Customizable list of random terms: Depending on your settings, the toolbar will connect to our random page and retrieve the items for you. These items are then available from your toolbar as a drop down box.
